F.A.Q

 

My work hours are 11AM - 5PM Mountain time Mon - Friday

I do not answer emails outside of those times unless it is an emergency. I do not use messengers such as Discord or Telegram for updates. Professional exchanges will be done though the designated email. Please do not contact me for professional services outside of the email.

 

You are asked not to share WIP photos until the project is completed or until stated otherwise. I’m not secretive about my process but I like to keep things in house until they are ready to be released.

 

I ask to be given a reasonable amount of time to respond to requests for updates or information. I do have to manage a life outside of my business and that may mean a few days between updates. Expect no less than at least one update a week but you will likely receive more. I can’t build if my hands are busy typing haha

 

I have health issues that may mean I have to take breaks, I will inform you if that is necessary but I do not feel I should need to disclose much of my personal medical information.

 

If at any point you would like alterations these need to be given at the time a work in progress shot is provided but I ask that you trust my process, a work in progress is exactly that.

 

Rights and Responsibilities

 

-Butterfly Back Fursuits is a privately operated business and has the right to refuse service to any individual.

- Butterfly Back Fursuits retains the right to terminate services to any customer found in contempt of the Terms of Service, all customers of Butterfly-Back Fursuits must read and agree to the Terms of Service.

- Butterfly Back Fursuits retains ownership of all items until final payment has been confirmed, as such this studio may modify, resell, or repurpose any project which has been abandoned by the customer, or in which the customer is found to be delinquent in payment.

- Butterfly Back Fursuits retains copyright of all studio photographs. Permission must be attained to modify or redistribute studio photos.

-Butterfly Back Fursuits will enter into record and hold all transactions and information provided by the customer.

-All customer information will remain anonymous to Butterfly Back Fursuits employees, unless a legal request is made by a legal authority of the United States of America.

-Commissioners have the right to cancel the commission at any time, however once the initial deposit has been paid it is non-refundable.

-This TOS protects only Butterfly-Back Fursuits customers. Customers which cancel the commission voluntarily, or are found in contempt of the terms of service may have their information used in relevant venues to inform other professionals in the field.

 

Butterfly Back Fursuits is not responsible for any of the following:

 

-Potential injury to the customer while using fursuits, parts, or costume items.

-Performance or behavior of the owner or user of the fursuit or costume.

-Damage or destruction resulting from customer negligence of the fursuit or costume.

-Voided warranties on repaired items which were built by other individuals or studios.

Minors

-All customers of Butterfly Back Fursuits must be 18+, including but not limited to any international customers.
-Butterfly Back Fursuits does not accept commissions from second parties, including but not limited to domestic customers ordering for international recipients, or legal guardians ordering for minors.

 

I do not accept commissions from minors at this time. All commissioners must be 18+.

Deposits

- Deposits are non-refundable.

- A 30% deposit is required on all standard fursuit commissions in order for the customer to be placed into the project queue and for work to be started on the commission.

- A 50% deposit is required on all accessory and parts commissions in order for the customer to be placed into the project queue and for work to be started on the commission.

 

Required Information and Material

-All deposits are final and will not be subject to any refund in part or in whole.

-All required information will be requested by Butterfly Back Fursuits to complete the commission and must be provided by the customer.

-Butterfly Back Fursuits takes commissions in batches. Once a deposit has been made customers will be given a due date to provide information before the start of each commission batch. Customers have two (2) weeks past the given due date to deliver all requested information or the commission will be terminated due to failure to comply.

Payment

PayPal: 

Payments take 3-5 days to clear, there will be a waiting period to allow payments to clear. If your PayPal name or address does not match your shipping address I will have to request you change it or use another method to avoid fraud. If you are using a friend or loved one's account I need verification by them that you are allowed to use it.

 

 

Payment Plans

 

-All payment plans must be agreed upon by Butterfly-Back Fursuits and the customer before commission work begins.

-Initial deposit is still required before the project  will begin or the customer placed into the queue.

-No payment plan will last more than five (5) months to fully pay off.

-Final payment must be made before the suit is delivered.

-Failure to meet payment deadlines will result in the commission being terminated.

 

Due Dates and Queue

 

-Customers are placed on the queue only after the initial deposit is paid.

-The due date of a suit will be set only after all necessary information has been provided by the customer.

- Customers seeking a particular completion date must discuss this date beforehand and must have this date approved by Butterfly Back Fursuits. If confirmation has not been given the completion date has not been set.

 

Terminated or Abandoned commissions

 

Terminated or Abandoned commissions

 

-A commission will be considered abandoned if required information or materials are not provided within two (2) weeks after the due date for the batch.

-A commission will be considered abandoned if final payment is delinquent for one (1) month after the previously agreed upon date.

 

Reasons for commission termination may include, but are not limited to: Threats to Butterfly Back Fursuits employees or studio, harassment of any Butterfly Back Fursuits employees, failure to provide required information, failure to provide payment, violation of the TOS, and any behavior which will ultimately reflect negatively on the Butterfly Back Fursuits brand.

 

-If a commission has been abandoned or terminated all project materials will be retained by Butterfly Back Fursuits. Physical materials such as Duct Tape Dummies may be returned at the expense of the individual upon request.

 

-Refund options may be available for cancellations; the initial deposit is non-refundable.
 

 

Domestic and international shipping

​

-All items will be shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS).

-No shipping information will be falsified by Butterfly-Back Fursuits for shipping purposes.

-All items will be shipped with insurance, tracking information, and will require signature upon delivery.

-All items will be shipped to the address provided by PayPal; shipping address may only be changed with proof of ID or residency. Items purchased through money order must verify shipping address.

- Butterfly-Back Fursuits is not liable for any items lost or damaged during shipping. All shipped items are insured, include tracking, and require signature upon delivery allowing customers to open disputes with the USPS.

 

International Shipping

 

Items requiring international shipping are subject to these additional requirements:

-The customer is responsible for all import fees or tariffs.

- Shipping may take additional time depending on the customer location.

-Standard tracking is unavailable and may only be attained through the customs form number.

-Insurance is unavailable on international items. Butterfly-Back Fursuits is not liable for item damage or loss.

-Any claim of loss or damage must first go through the post office. This process will then inform Butterfly-Back Fursuits employees through the post office processes.

 

 

Warranties and Repairs 3 (year)

 

All warranties from Butterfly-Back Fursuits studio are non-transferable. Photographic evidence is required to document any damage or mistakes, for any repair claim. Repairs under warranty are free to the customer with a fee covering shipping of the items in need of repair.

 

The following issues are covered under standard warranty for all Butterfly-Back Fursuits: Repairs to seams, stitching, missing claws or teeth, split zippers, or other items which do not require additional materials.

 

The following items are not covered by the standard Butterfly-Back Fursuits warranty: Torn fabric, eyes or ears removed from the head, food stains, burn marks, human or animal waste, extensive damage requiring the use of new materials, any damage caused by negligence of the wearer or those around them.

Fursuits are consumable items, wear and tear due to age and use are not covered under standard warranty.

 

Construction flaws and builder mistakes are covered under warranty provided the claim and suit or parts returned for repair within 30 days from receiving the items, and the fursuit or parts have not been worn extensively or in public settings, such as meets or conventions.

 

Once a claim has been made the suit must be sent back for repairs within a week and may not be worn further due to risk of further damage.

 

Items which will result in the voiding of the warranty include but are not limited to:

-Use of any item for sexual purposes.

-Large scale fursuit modifications.

-Altering the suit so that it no longer reflects the Butterfly-Back Fursuits style and brand.

-Large scale repairs or alterations made to the suit by anyone except Butterfly-Back Fursuits employees.

-Intentional application of human or animal waste.

-Intentional damage or destruction of the suit.

-Intentional use in a pool, mud, paints, or other potentially damaging substances.

 

Repairs not under warranty or modifications may be made with a fee to the customer in addition to shipping.

 

Repairs are available on items created by other individuals or studios. Butterfly-Back Fursuits is not responsible for these repairs voiding any current warranty on the item.
